Dr. David S. Hironaga

Dr. David Hironaga was born and raised in Honolulu.  While in high school, Dr. Hironaga lettered in track with events in the 100, 200, low hurdles, and sprint relays.  Participating in track taught him the value of focus, hard work, determination and respect for our bodies.

Dr. Hironaga received his Bachelors degree in pre-physical therapy from University of Hawaii and Doctor of Optometry from University of California, Berkeley.

Since graduation, Dr. Hironaga has worked as staff optometrist at a busy surgery based ophthalmology office, owner of optometry offices in Honolulu and Kahului, Maui, and now a partner at Schofield Vision Center.

My philosophy is to give 100% to each patient I see, do my best to resolve any vision problems, and informing you as completely as possible about what’s going on with your eyes.

When not in the office, Dr. Hironaga enjoys golfing, working out, reading, hiking, lying on the beach and exploring restaurants with his girlfriend.
